Is PTC worth the time?
« on: May 29, 2012, 02:17:12 pm »
has anyone made anything from these sites? It seems like it would take years just to get ten bucks.

I think that PTC's are worth the time, but i don't spend a lot of my time on them. Fusion Cash has a paid to click offer that pays 15 cents daily. I'm also a member of two other sites that has paid to click, such as Unique Rewards and Clixsense.

With PTC sites it all depends. There are not many of them that are worth it. I belong to thereof them that seem good. One of which has been around for years and pays. Most Bux sites are scams.

What is a PTC website? I know that a GPT website is a 'get paid to try".

Most of them that I've tried are very slow earners, but there are a few that are a little better.  None of them are a lot of money for me, though.

It does not take that long if you do the 30 posts and the paid clicks everyday and then try a few surveys and u should make $25 every 2 months atleast!

It's not much, but they will add up if you keep working on it.

I couldn't stand any of the PTC sites I tried. The pay is virutally nothing and it's mind-numbing.

There's a few I frequent.  As long as the site pays, I work it as it's money for doing next to nothing.  For most of the ones I work, I only check the balances maybe once per quarter.  My plan for most is to cash out maybe once a year.  One that I work that pays the best recently added tasks and surveys, so it's becoming more of a GPT site vs PTC, but the PTC is still the primary means.  With the other additions, I'm now making about $10 every 5 weeks, and I don't really work the site that much.

I am fortunate to work from home, so what I do is do all my PTC sites first thing in the morning while I drink my morning cup of coffee.  Then I log in to work.  It's a nice routine and by the end of the year I'll have an extra $30-$50 I wouldn't have had if I didn't work those sites.

Yep however, for the 'unwary' who venture into d+d subforum all "bright-eyed & bushy-tailed", P.T.C. can mean 'Posted Traumatic Content'.

One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

You better believe it, it takes a lot of time to cash out on a ptc.

has anyone made anything from these sites? It seems like it would take years just to get ten bucks.

Let's take Fusion cash for example. I would say no, they are not. If spend even an average of 15 minutes a day to make $25 in a month. That would be 450 minutes or 7.5 hours (15 minutes x 30 days)  or $3.33 an hour. With many surveys lasting far more than 15 minutes, it is unlikely you would ever make minimum wage. The time vs reward isn't worth doing by yourself.

However, it is free money, you could be doing a lot worse things on the internet than making money.  If you taught 3 referrals a month to cash out. You would make $9 each month  ($1 for e-mail for verification, $2 for completed first offer) plus $5 for each referral that cashes out. The first month you would have $24 ($9 + $15) plus your $25.00 for a total of $49.00. The second month you would have the $9 (3 new referrals) + $30 (6 referrals cashing out) + your $25.00 would be $64.00 and so on to the third month, etc. (Sorry ran out of fingers and toes). If you follow this out to a year on the 12 month you would have $9 + your $25.00 + $180 or a total of $214 in one month.  You get the $5.00 every time someone cashes out for life.

As a side note getting referrals and having them cash out is easier said than done. It is doable, but it does take work,

As far as cashing out every month, it is easier.
You can make 27 cents daily guaranteed by:

1. Do the daily e-mail    2 cents
2. Do the daily Paid-to-click  15 cents
3. Make 2 forum posts  10 cents @ $3.00 @  month

That leaves 56 cents a day. You can make this amount by doing offers, taking surveys, doing the Tuesday / Wednesday - Saturday / Sunday promotions (twice a week) watch videos and shop online. So all in all not a bad gig. It does take time but beats making no money at all and it could be done for free or almost free.

So in conclusion, Is it worth it?: Probably not, but it does beat making no money at all.

It's worth the time; you are clicking links anyway when you are online so why not get paid for it, even if it is only a penny.  As someone stated, it all adds up.  If you want to make more you need to promote your referral link to earn off your referrals.

Most PTC's are not worth the time, unless you can get a whole lot of referrals. I prefer sites like FC, where I can do a 15 cent PTC instead of fractions of a cent, or maybe just 1 or 2 cents. Plus here on FC i can do a lot of other things to boost my earnings.
