What are some creative ideas to raise money?
« on: May 27, 2012, 06:17:27 am »
I don't want to get any referrals to sites or people telling me the obvious, I know you can make money online and there are lots of ways to do it. I want this to apeal to the creative people out there. What are some ideas you have to raise some money?

Some of the things I do:

Babysit /elder sit
Notary Public, Certified Signing Agent, Trusted Enrollment Agent
Disaster worker (you have to go get licensed before a disaster)
Monthly yard sales
Clean house after people move out (this is where a lot of the yard sale items come from)  When people are moving they seem to get to the end and just want to be done at old house.  So I help them out with the end of the move.
Helping Senior Citizens move/downsize.  A lot of this is going through stuff and helping them decide to donate, trash, or give to family members etc.  The I help them with packing and shipping anything that is to go to family, calling for pick-ups of donations.  You don't have to do the heavy lifting.  Doesn't pay a lot, but it makes you fee good.
I always carry a bag with me when I go for a walk to pick up  and recycle, cans, bottles etc.
I do Mystery Shopping
Inventory ( a part time job with a company that goes around doing inventories)

Hope some good ideas come up here that I haven't done, I need more too.  I cannot work a 40 hour
week job because of obligations with family...so I fit these other jobs in wherever I can.

I have heard of people renting out "spaces" on their bodies for corporate advertising.  Not something I would do, but that is creative.

Some people have tried taking surveys online.  Which survey company is the best?  I still trying different online survey companies to find the best one.

Not sure if there is a "best" since that depends on what is meant by the term however, I take an average of three surveys/day.  Some days, I qualify and get paid for more than on other days.  Your mileage may vary.

This is a pic I found just for you - unless you don't want it:

One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.
