Cannot do a lot of offers. Told I am on mobile.
« on: May 18, 2012, 02:03:15 pm »
I am not on mobile! I'm trying to do offers like the daily click and some surveys, and I get this message:

Error

Sorry, but the Paid to Click program is not currently available on mobile/tablet devices. Please use a web browser on a laptop or desktop computer to qualify for the Paid to Click program.

I've cleared my cookies and browsing data to see if that would fix the problem, but it didn't work :crybaby2: Can someone help me out?

So, you are on a computer, correct? Are you using the same computer as you did when you signed up for Fusion Cash? Have you changed ISP providers? Did this just begin?

I would try using a different browser as a beginning. if that does not help, try re-booting your computer. Try logging out of Fusion Cash and log back in.

If none of this works, open a support ticket.  :dontknow:

I have not ever tried to use FC on my cell phone. I have been using the same computer for the past week, and have not had any problems until last night.

I did what you said and restarted my computer, and logged out of my account. When I went to sign in again, this message was above the login box:

"It seems like you're using a mobile/portable device. We cannot guarantee that all site functions will work, and you complete offers at your own risk."

I really hope that FC gets back to me quickly on this. There would be no point really in sticking around if I can't do offers.

The computer's connection isn't wireless, (like via a wireless ISP), or through a wireless router to a wired modem?
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

You have been with Fusion Cash since 2009???  You say that you have been using the same computer to do offers all week. Is it a new computer? Even though you are getting a message about being on a mobile and can not do offers, have you tried to do any offers like Paid To Click?  :dontknow:

I have not read that any other member has had a problem like this.

I used my desktop when I first started using FC, but I just started using it again and on my laptop strictly. I use the internet from my phone for my computer (it's called tethering). Could this be the problem?

Paid to click worked for me a few minutes ago, oddly. I'll post here later if the problem comes back.

It sounds like the problem centers around the mobile phone being used as a tethered modem for your computer(s).  I have no idea why the interface works for PTC and not otherwise, (as when FC's software rejects your connection as coming from/routed through a cellphone).

yeah I was trying to do some on my phone during my lunch hour and it does not work.  So , I have to wait until I get home.  I try to make it online  nightly but some nights are too hectic.  Hopefully in the future they will have a app or something for the phone.

I just double checked the logs and I can see your browser identifying itself as an Android browser on a phone/tablet.  So either you're actually using a phone/tablet when you encounter this error, or perhaps you have set your browser to send a different User-Agent (perhaps when you were testing something else?).

Edit: Another possibility is that when you are tethering, your connection goes through a proxy which rewrites the User-Agent.  In that case there's nothing we or you can really do about it.
