Annoying Phone Calls
« on: May 17, 2012, 04:53:59 am »
:angry7:I have started getting sells calls on my mobile phone now that I started putting my phone number on all the survey sites. Education, free Government money and home security, The Education is the one I get the most several times a day, time to get on the Do Not Call List.
Anyone else have this happen? :crybaby2:

I don't give my home number at all!  I use my CELL phone.  That seems to help.

Don't give out phone numbers unless you are interested in offers. Also, watch for charges on your phone bills that you may not have agreed to.

Almost always, giving a phone number is OPTIONAL. The only time I have encountered a mandatory phone number given is for a credit card app or something bank related. DO NOT just give out your number on a random sales/survey site.

Going further, you can block numbers on most cell phones, look into see what you carrier does for annoying SPAM calls and texts. Most often there's a plan in place to rid your phone of these types of calls completely.

Why would you use your real phone home or cell numbers? That is just asking for it. You need to sign up for a google phone number online and use that. It's free and then your home number won't get spammed.

agree with everyone here.  For the calls you are getting now, you can either block them or tell them directly to stop calling and if they don't they'll be reported for harassment.  Don't give out your number in the future.

quit crying for giving out your phone number, what do you expect for them not to call it? I  use a prepaid virgin mobile optimus V phone and I set it on vibrate or airplane mode.

Most of the time on surveys you can just not enter phone number and complete survey. Sometimes there is a "hidden button" that says something like "no thanks". Giving out phone numbers is definitely OPTIONAL as stated in this topic posts.

I never heard of a Google online phone number, but I will certainly look into it.  Sounds like a great idea.  It never ceases to amaze me what I learn in this forum.  Thanks for mentioning it!

Yes, its an annoying thing.,This site makes you sign up for other sites, dont get  it. Its like saying Im in business but if you go, the other business owner, they will take all your business. If you make the suggestion, hey,if you go this site and sign up then you can join. If they offer better benefits, would you go back??
