If you loved the soap opera Dark shadows your in for a treat I just saw the new Tim Burton Flick Dark Shadows and although I found it a little dryer than the old soap I was still tickled to see Jhonny Depp as Barnabus Collins!!! No SPoilers here MUST SEE!!

Believe I'll have to take you up on it.  I was a fan of the TV series, and I can imagine Tim Burton having a right good time with it.  Kind of like Ed Wood or Beetlejuice on steriods.

I'm a fan of the original series,but it looks like they made the movie into a campy comedy.

The original Barnabas Collins,Jonathan Frid,passed on last month. I hear he had a cameo in the new movie.

Yes, I was a fan back in the day. I am looking forward to seeing the new movie. I will have to wait though. I like Johnny Depp too.

I am 27, so it is a little different for me with all of these movies they are making that are remakes.  Just because I never even saw the original for this or a lot of the other remakes.  So it is just a new movie to me.  I haven't seen it yet, but I do plan to.  I want to see anything and everything that Johnny Depp does and I am sure I will like it.

I have the complete series of Dark Shadows on DVD and I love watching them, especially on dark, windy nights.

I never even heard of the television show until I read the article when introducing the movie and the origins. I have mixed feelings whether I am going to see this or not, but I probably will commit as I'm a Johnny Depp fan.

Don't think I will see it at the theatre.  May wait 'til it comes out on blueray or dvd.  I'm a big Johnny Depp fan so I look forward to seeing then.

I just saw it today and I enjoyed it. I've seen a few episodes of Dark Shadows. It was a best of Barnabus Collins DVD. I don't think it was meant to be a flat out comedy, like the trailers have portrayed it. But still, good movie. Also saw the trailer for Frankenweenie which looks good.

I never saw the soap opera, but I love Johnny Depp, so I'd like to see this one.

I really want to see that movie. I love Tim Burton movies.
