Words of Wisdom
« on: May 10, 2012, 04:23:16 pm »
Yes, I learned a lot from my grandpa. One day when  I was maybe 5 years old, I was fastenated with these birds, making a nest in a bush in our front yard. They had pretty colors. My grandpa noticed how fasinated I was, and said to me. "If you want to catch one, just put a little salt on its tail and it will allow you to pick it up". So, I went into the house sprinkled some salt on my hand and would go and sneak up as close to that bush as possible. I got really close, the bird would fly away, but this time I was going to sprinkle that salt right on his tale.  It took me several trys, and finally it dawned on me why the whole family came out to watch and were laughning so hard.

To this day, I swear  I would have done it if there laughing had not kept scaring them away.

The following may be appros to some:

"How to have a million dollars and never pay taxes; first, get a million dollars ... "

One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.
