bleach
« on: May 10, 2012, 07:05:18 am »

I can't be trusted using bleach. I have spoiled 2 pair of pants.

Years ago, I used bleach in my laundry; turned my light blue skirt into a polka dot skirt.

I used to work at a restaurant/bar where they required us to use bleach.  The problem was they also required us to purchase our shirts from the pro shop.  This was an upscale golf course.  Even with our employee discounts our shirts could cost $25 or more.  Of course we were constantly getting bleach on them and then the management would complain and tell us we had to buy new shirts because ours had bleach stains.  Arggggh!  Those people were crazy and I am glad I am gone from there.

I only use bleach when I'm washing down the porch, other then that I hate the stuff. No matter how little I use, if I even touch the bottle I get it on me somehow.

My humidifier requires a teaspoon of bleach with the tank full to clean it once in a while. Otherwise I don't touch the stuff. Knowing me I'd ruin something.

Only if i really have a tough laundry problem will I use bleach. I will get the water and soap in the washer with the bleach first, let it agitate for a couple seconds and the add the clothes. I don't trust the bleach dispenser. Oh, and I don't use but a little bit.

I never use bleach for my laundry. The laundry detergent I am currently using is sufficient enough to remove stains and odor.

We don't really use bleach unless it's to disinfect things.

I sell stuff on etsy and can i tell you Bleach is one of the most aggravating Products I have to use to upcycle my clothes. I had a pair of shorts I was bleaching fall apart cause I bought the wrong brand.. and the smell can knock someone down. ;tip if you get it on anything Drown it in water as fast as you can it will reverse it from working, just make sure the waters cold.

I used bleach to clean a very small bathroom and I about died from the fumes. But I still use it and yes I ruin a few clothes but I like knowing things are clean.

I use color safe bleach only.  It works just as well and wont ruin your clothes.

I use color safe also. Haven't had any problems with that. However, I have to use unscented.

I usually use color safe bleach, if washing white clothing may just need a little regular beach but can't add too much it will ruin or tore all your white clothing.

Luckily I haven't ruined any clothes with bleach yet, but I only use it occasionally. The other day I was using some outdoor bleach to clean the siding of my house, and it worked miracles, though.  :)
