New Dad
« on: May 08, 2012, 04:36:25 am »
I just wanted to let everyone know that on May 1st, I became a father with the birth of my son. My wife had to have an emergency c-section because our little guy was in distress with each contraction, but everyone including mom is safe and sound. Any other dads out there? At the same time it makes you feel very powerful, and absolutely helpless all at once.

Congratz on your Beltane-born son, 'grim'.  Although some people may think that he didn't arrive with an 'operations-manual', you'll discover that he did after all ... it's located in plain sight in the [redacted].
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

Congratulations new Dad!  Your wife's labor and birth sounds a lot like mine. I felt really bad for my husband, I know it was such a frightening time for him to have us both in distress at the same time.  But, like your wife and baby, everything turned out fine.  Our son  now has a son of his own!  It goes so fast.  Pay attention to every moment you can and value each day.  I can't believe our son is grown and a father already.  Again, congratulations and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

Congratulations! There is no greater joy on earth than becoming a parent, your life changes so much but it is so rewarding watching your child grow in to a beautiful young woman or a responsible young man. I was blessed with a daughter first and then a son, who are 27 and 22. The best thing I ever did was give birth to these 2 amazing individuals.
