new seller on amazon
« on: May 07, 2012, 05:38:23 pm »
we are a new seller on amazon and they suspended our account coz we made over 500$ in one month and not gotten much feedback. i dont understand why the amount matters. they are holding funds from us because we dont have enough feedback from the buyers, but the feedback we have gotten has been positive. THAT ISNT OUR WE CANT MAKE PEOPLE GIVE US FEEDBACK!!  :BangHead:so, now this is a waiting game and it makes us want to give up. we have a tax ID from years ago so we have been in business for a long time now and it's just a hassle having to give amazon information they already have. any thoughts?

Congrats on making so much.  Be patient, I'm sure they want to make sure there is no fraud.  Would love to be an Amazon Associate, but can't as I live in a state that will make Amazon collect sales tax if they have affiliates working here, so they dropped them all.  Bummer.  Good luck with your account.

Hang in there Storm.  Amazon is a good company and I would think they will come through for you.  Good luck!

well, i guess the account is not suspended, it's just on review. we can still sell things but they are still holding funds from us which sucks coz we cant use the money to get new things.

Did you try to resend a message to your buyers that didn't leave feedback? Sometimes I forget to leave feedback and when I get an email, I go back and do it since it reminds me.

That's what they do to new sellers. Don't worry, you'll get your money. did they say how long they were going to hold the funds? I think they held mine for two weeks, but I did get paid after that. But I didn't have nearly as much money there.

Contact some of the people you sold to, they will help is you let them know. I also send thank you e-mails and that helps with feedback

I started selling on Amazon in January and there is a mandatory hold period when you first sign up, even if you've done it before.  It's frustrating but the payout is worth the wait.

Congratulations on the large amount made selling things on Amazon!  Like a previous writer said...your amount is being held in suspense because you are a new seller so you will eventually get your oney although I am surprised that they have asked you for a separate TIN number.  I just made my forst Amazon sale last month and was credited yesterday.  I bought the book on Amazon for nine dollars, sold it for nine dollars and sixty four cents, but after the cut o Amazon, packaging and postage I only ended up netting two dollars and sixty cents which is okay for something that I would not have read again and was just gathering dust. I also put about an hours work into it.

yeah i think our review is off our account now and we are doing so good. the only thing is..we dont like being paid every two weeks. we would rather get paid every week but we have a professional account that we pay for every month. i think the price is ridiculous but guess they have to make their money ..and fees too.

so, because of the fact that we get paid every two weeks.. we dont have money to pay the bills that need to be paid. like our cell phones, when they need to be paid. this is not good. all out pay out fall on the same week like our checks from our jobs and now this. guess we just suffer for that week in between.

What have you been doing to make your amazon business so successful the first month.  Hope it's all getting cleared up for you now.

We are an Amazon seller AND associate.

We never got one feedback from anything we sold.  We sent sample stuff in all the packages, and still no feedback.

I think most people would just simply like to buy products and not be bothered with feedbacks.
