I have both, but I prefer the laptop because I can watch tv while I am online.

laptops are nice, but you have to think about their lack of ability to upgrade.  Desktops take up more space, but as years go by and technology improves you can keep your desktop up to date.

I love to be able to move around my house with my wireless connection and my laptop.  I do miss having a real mouse, though....

We have both here. I like to get on the laptop so I can keep an eye on my lil brother on the desktop. He seems to get viruses like no other.  :BangHead:

I had a feeling most people would pick both.

For one, desktops are good for home. I can store a lot of stuff in them and they cool off a lot better and run longer than a lap-top.

Two, laptops are cool for travel and free w-ifi in some establishments. (coffee shops, libraries, etc.)

I completely enjoy the convenience of the laptop. Portability, lightweight etc. After my desktop started giving problems, I got a laptop and love it completely. I definitely do not plan to buy a desktop again.

Both.  I like the desktop, but now i have only the laptop.  The desktop was faster than the laptop.  The laptop can go anywhere though.
