I could not believe it when I saw it on the news. I am sorry for the people there, so much snow so late in the season. Will wonders never cease? I guess not.

That is outrageous!  This weather has really become an outrageous pattern, but not even a pattern, a phenomenon of some sort.  Snowing in april, A FOOT OF SNOW IN APRIL!!!! That is unheard of!!!  I just want summer already!

There are weather patterns and meta-patterns. From 1963 through 1991, (inclusive of every year between those), it has snowed in April, (in Denver).  It'll even snow in May sometimes.  Back east, it isn't unusual to get snow in April either.  Weather patterns are cyclical and contain localized variations in the overall interlocking patterns so, it's not that unheard of.
