"18-99"? Survey Question.
« on: April 18, 2012, 06:53:41 am »
Does anyone else think that this question is a bit ageist and discriminatory? I know folks that are above 100 years of age and they are sane, cognizant, and chipper/spry as a 21 year old  :angel11: ??? Participants over 100 years of age ought to be allowed to complete surveys, what say ye?  :bs:

I really don't think it's meant to be ageist. I mean 18-99 is a pretty big age gap to include a lot of people. And I also think people over 99 can still complete surveys with that age option if they wanted to.

Its still a survey question thats disturbed me for years now. Age and other questions are a bit too leaning in the discriminatory department for my tastes.

I agree fc i think it should not matter what your age as the survey is not based on age also another thing is when they ask if you have children and then give an age limit and you have to chose you dont have children but you do they are just grown

Most people will not live that long, and if someone does, it's doubtful that they will be concerned with online surveys.
