That is good information. Fortunately I never took advantage of the offer. Try to stay away from that kind of stuff. Could mess a good computer up.

I am not the boss here or anything and I know you think you are doing the right thing, but just be careful about speaking ill about any FC sponsors.  Remember these are the people who pay us, so it is kind of like talking smack about your boss and then wondering why you get laid off.

I was wondering about this offer and if downloading the software would be intrusive, a reason why I rarely download software that I don't know that much about. Thanks for the heads up on this offer. This advice will help me make a more informed choice on whether or not to attempt this offer.

I understand what you are saying sam, but FC has to understand as well. An offer for a $1.25 isn't worth destroying a costly computer or having to pay fees to a computer repair shop. This bad software has to be duly noted, and I never meant to bash any advertisers in the process. This should be an opportunity for FC to test advertisers software before releasing it to everyone. While FC and Opinion Square has Terms & Conditions put in place to protect them from a law suit if someone's computer is ruined by rogue software, the consumer is out the high cost of a computer.

I didn't understand why Opinion Square wanted people to keep their software on FC members computers for two weeks in the first place. That's fishy in and of itself.

I think the reason for the two week period is because they didn't want people to install, collect the dough and then uninstall.  They  actually want people to really try it.

Again, I understand that you are trying to help people, I just know that there have been repeated warnings about talking about offers in a negative light so in case people didn't know, I wanted to save people some possible problems at FC.  Some sites will not even allow you to mention the offers for exactly that reason.

I think it is a good general rule of thumb to be careful of anything you download since the best vetted software could always conflict with something you have installed.

I think I may have started to down load this particular offer and my antivirus protections stopped it midway and then a few days later my computer locked up and when I looked into it , the report that came back was indicating that is was Opinion Square. This is not being negative, just stating the facts as I experienced them I ended up removing the entire thing that was left behind and I have moved on. COmputer is working much better now. So is it really this? a coincedence? something else? whio knows? but as I say, I have moved on. Not worth the hassle, However, hopefully if there truly is an issue it is important as a community to communicate that in a constructive manner in order for the proper parties to look into it and address the issue if needs be.

Our software contains no viruses; however some anti-virus programs detect it as a spy-ware. But it is not really a spy-ware. In order to successfully install the software, please disable your anti-virus and firewall programs before start the installation process. Once the installation completed, you can re-activate your firewall and anti-virus software.

You also can certainly stay a member without having our program installed on your computer. Some computer do not function well with our opinion square software, therefore for these members we specifically send them surveys by email or you can view the available surveys in your account.

Even taking them at their word, it would be up to Opinion Square to credit your account as the one who revoked it, not FC, (who weren't the ones who revoked the credit).
