Malicious attack/virus report

How do i report a malicious attack attempt maid by one of the advertisers?  I clicked on the daily email today and when i closed the final ad-page it tried to bring up a bunch of pop-up/pop/under pages and then tried to infect my computer!  Fortunately by internet security software cause the threat and blocked it before it reached my computer but doesn't FC check the ads before sending it to the masses and or have a link to report such abuse?  We can't/won't participate if our computer is infected!  I'm new here and this seems to be better than any other ad revenue sharing site but if this continues to happen i'll have to wonder.

I have had that problem too. Using IE8. Allowed a sponsored pop up to open and then bad add ons were delivered. Was able to delete and remove the add ons. I have set IE8 to allow cookies and pop ups from FC only. No problems at all with FC. If a sponsored pop up is blocked by IE8, I don't allow it and close the sponsored ad. I also hide it from my offers page.

The best thing one can do when this happens is to write down all the details and let support know so they can shut down the problem. I recently had such a problem with the 15 cent daily deal. I copied down what my security program said about the attack and contacted support. Also be sure to keep your security up to date and run scans on a regular basis because some attacks and viruses sneak in the "backdoor." One of the surveys I do on another site allowed changes to be made in my computer. if not for my regularly running scans and knowing my computer I might not have noticed it.

I got a quick pop up from Avast yesterday about the Samsung one but it still allowed the page through on Firefox. Needless to say, the offer didn't credit!

any ad has the potential to bring in viruses.  If you keep this in mind, and do regular scans, you should be okay.  My computer is set up to warn me immediately if something is a potential threat before even going to the site.  The choice is then mine.  Plus, Norton does regularly scheduled scans on here.  I'm well aware the FC gets paid via the ads, which allows them to pay us, so unless something were to rip apart my computer I wouldn't complain - much...lol.

There is also the instance of false positives too. A while back Avast had an update that was flagging everything as malicious, and I remember I had to disable it for an hour or so while they pushed out a new update.

I just use Firefox and have a good anti-virus/anti-malware program running, so I don't get too concerned about reports. I figure if there is something malicious, I've been protected.

It is a good idea to do regular updates on with Microsoft windows as well. Even if your set up for auto updates be sure to personally visit the site and check for updates. IE8 has some issues that allow updates to be blocked or turned off or even in advanced settings under the firewall to allow exceptions of what gets through and what does not. Although I use the firewall, a virus was able to add exceptions and add oddball certificates in my trusted certificate file. It is surprizing and scary how hackers can use your computer without your knowledge. If you get a warning not to proceed to any website take heed in choosing to do so anyways, as you might very well regret it. And the few cents or dollars you might earn is not worth the loss of your private files and passwords. Scans and updates for all your programs help keep problems at away.

As long as you have anti-virus software your computer won't be destroyed.  The problem will be blocked and you will then know not to go back to that advertiser.  I've only had a couple instances of that happening on Google Chrome and Firefox and didn't really have anything happen besides adware being blocked.  My laptop is not the newest and can be quite slow but I've noticed many more problems with Internet Explorer than with Firefox or Chrome.  Just a thought.

contact fusion cash support, I am sure they would want to know as this is a great site and they take care of it well.  You don't mention in your post what offer it is for them to look at.  send a support ticket asap.

   I agree, any internet website you visit not just these has the potential for viruses.  That is why its soooo important to have an virus protector and a spyware protection.  Important to update these before you run your scan so you have the latest known viruses and spyware.
