I beleive the earth is closer to 4000 years as I further believe the earth is about 10,000 years old.
I was lying in bed the other night, looking up at the stars, and thinking, "Where in the heck is my roof?"

Well yeah. You have life evolving with horrendous death rates in humans for hundreds of thousands of years- pain and suffering for men, women, and children. Disease is rampant, education is practically non-existant, people are very prone to predatory animals, groups are generally savage. Then all of the sudden this one god jumps into the picture 4,000-10,000 years ago in a very barbaric and illiterate time around the Middle East (not paying attention to other parts of the world at all) and only then starts doing things. Kind of an *bleep* thing to do, you know? Could have used a deity for those couple hundreds of thousands of years there, Yahweh!

On the other hand, young-earth creationists don't have this burden due to their ignorance of the natural world.

Yep, it's one more nail in the coffin of superstition, (which is much like a long-dead corpse stumbling around like a zombie).
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

Which is it?  Pick a superstitious belief, man.

Actually,it was a rhetorical question.I'm not surprised you chose to be more verbose here, than in the archeology & the Bible thread.

Umm...this is debate and discuss. You obviously weren't thinking much if that was your actual goal. And I have no reason to add much to the archaeology thread as it's based upon coupling magic with history. However I will post something now to show you your obvious errors (as usual).
