I have been lucky and not encountered any problems to where I needed to get outside help, I can usually figure it out. But if I can't then I have friends that can always help.

I self diagnose my own and sometimes other people's upon request. If I cannot figure something out right away I rely on feedback online and hope for the best. By the time the computer is really bad I usually feel it's time for replacement.

In my area Staples is pretty good. I think most of their diagnosis stuff is free.

I've learned to do my own computer repair throughout my time on a PC. The one thing I've noticed with FC is, when I've opened a span of multiple windows and close out the windows, I have to restart my computer after closing my browser. When I try to open the browser again, it opens a prompt and says the browser is already open, thus requiring a restart. No big deal.

I repair myself as i am a certified tech i just deal with the problem and move but i have noticed recently that apple has in its own unique way made the mac line of products more user friendly and less worrisome then the competition
