Gas Prices Are Ridiculious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

It is getting rough where we live also. We live in a very rural area so have to drive everywhere. We make at least 1-2 trips to my dads and it is 11 miles one way which isn't much but still it cost, Then have to take a trip every so often to see aunti (will be  99 soon) and that is about a 5 hour trip. We just can't afford to go very often. The Drs. are all out of town so combine those trips with buying groceries. Our grocery store is a rip off here. Walmart is 80 miles away. So buy a months worth at a time and at times my dads too. You are looking at 450-500 dollar food bill at one time and that hurts. All for the oil and gas companies to make their big profits. I don't care what the gove. saysit is price gouging.

The price of gas is hurting everyone now and I hate this but we have to live with it as well

I have learned to walk and ride the buss more because the cost of gas is getting crazy.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Maybe it's just me but I feel if the gas prices get any higher im going to have to walk to work, and in that matter every where else i need to travel too!!!  Am I the only one who's like oops......." forgot to pay the bill" and DRIVE OFF...  or is it the other way around where you pay cause u have no choice but too?  

I think everyone feel that way.  It was terrible.

No it's not just you gas prices are jumping every where I seem to go are look. I pass by a place and within 30min later prices of gas then already hoop up 3 to 6 cents.

I know the gas done went platium before we know it is goin to be $5.00 a gal. I hope the president does something about it cause we pay high taxes, Alot of people is goin to have to get either more jobs just so they can efford their gas or either just start riding bicycles which wold hate cause what if it rain or storm. Somethin is just to have to be done to get the gas to go down cuzy this is crazy!!!!!!!!

Have the fed not print more money for starters.  For us that means force the government to live within its means, and personally for us it means to not demand things for 'free' (after all, this 'free' stuff is one of the main reasons for the gas prices) that we cannot afford.  Some people really liked the stimulus and bailouts, but these gas prices are but one example of how we all end up paying this worthless waste of money back, even though we never expected we would have to (or in my case were against the foolish idea in the first place).  Someone posted a good link, either on this thread or another regarding gas prices, about the fiat system that lets you understand a bit easier about how the prices work in this regard.

I agree!  Why is what I would like to know!  I believe we have alot of gas stored, and can't figure out why we can't use it.  Instead we keep storing more and more, while the american people have to pay, pay and pay some more.  I'd really like to know what they intend to do, when we run out of storage room.

Gas is a bit out of hand. This is why when I finally saved up $900 dollars I didn't even think about getting a car, and went straight to motor cycles.

I bought a used 2000 Yamaha xt225. They are called dual-sports, but are essentially street-legal dirt bikes. 70 miles per gallon. $75 dollars a YEAR, for insurance! Can't beat that.

Now, if can get cold in the winter, but if you bundle up and drive slow it's not that bad. They seem to be getting more popular, for good reason.

It is crazy how high gas prices have gotten.. I find it so hard to believe that our country with the size that it is and with the technology we have, why are we dependent on others for oil??
