Dr Oz

My girlfriend got me started watching the Dr. Oz show. Real interesting and he makes it also fun, but educational as well, from dieting to home easy remedies for pain, etc etc. I am starting to understand a little more about teas as well. Great show

The thing that kills me about Dr. Oz is that, if you watch enough episodes, he basically tells you that everything is going to kill you.  A lot of it is interesting, but I don't think you can take every bit of it too seriously!

Yeah, everything will kill you if overdone, but he does provide some interesting solutions that I think can be helpful. But then again, if you were to take everything suggested, I wonder if you would get better, or just plain sick.

I like to watch Dr. Oz, too.  I'm trying to make healthier choices for myself, and the tips that he gives helps me to do that.  I agree that it would be unreasonable to follow all of his advice, but I just pick what most applies to my needs. :)

I can't say I have ever watched Dr Oz- not even sure who he is. I have heard the name though. I don't watch daytime tv or talk shows. Is he a real doctor?

Dr. Oz has a great way of taking a complex medical subject and explaining it so we can all understand it--keeping in mind that he repeats what he learns from clinical researchers, so if the research is wrong, he's wrong too. I've spotted a few of these. Overall, though, he's pretty awesome.

Just a "heads up" on one more scam that is out there...

A few months ago, I received an e-mail that linked to a website and at first glance...I thought it was Dr. Oz's site and that he was now making money on selling the items that he is promoting on his tv show.

So, I visited the website (I can't remember the name) and even though there was a big color picture of Dr. Oz, and many items saying "Dr. Oz's recommendation"...Dr. Oz has no association with the site, it's somebody else trying to make a buck off of his name. (Which I think may get them in some BIG legal trouble when Dr. Oz finds out).  :confused1:

He's fun to watch, presents things in an entertaining environment.  There is a large population moving into their 50's and 60's right now.  Our technologies are increasing life span quickly.  This gives him plenty of topics to entertain with dealing with fitness and health.
