What is a good way to make new friends?

If you're into karate or something like that you can make good friends.  Also getting a job introduces you to new people, or how about bars buts that better for meeting girls imo.

Second that- I've been doing jujitsu for a year and have met a bunch of cool people through it.

Bars are too loud- I can never hear anything.

just go out do the things you like and dont be shy. You have to walk up to people and converse. Be engaging....thats what works for me

Play free poker in your area at a place that hosts it. When your a regular people open up and want to start talking.

A good friend site is Gather....I love it!! If you are looking to interact with people in person than you should try your local mall, dance club, bar [[if your old enough]], coffee shop, or just go on a walk or to the park....if you see someone strike up a conversation...be shameless....as a stay at home mom I've found being shameless and very un shy is the only way to meet people nowadays... I've made lots of friends playing at the park with my children!!
