No Credit Cards
« on: March 25, 2012, 03:19:35 pm »
Are all really debit cards. I have noticed more and more people are going with these type of cards. I think they are getting tired of the banks ripping them off. I am thinking about going with one of those that you load the money in as you want etc. But first I am going to check with oldbuddy as he had an idea of one I think makes you money too with referrals. Anyone that does not know oldbuddy, he does the tutorial videos for you etc. Have fun fusioncash members.

Might not be a bad idea.  I am so mad at my bank.  They keep coming up with new fees and charges.  My account was free when I opened it.  I have like 10 bills that are on auto pay, a direct deposit and it makes it really hard to change banks.  So that would be a good alternative as long as the fees on the card aren't worse than the bank charges.

My current debit card (from my bank) acts as a Credit and Debit card. I'm with PNC and the nice thing is they have no minimum monthly balance or maintenance fees for Checking. They like most banks do charge for overdrafts though. You really have to be careful.

I've noticed a lot of "celebrities" now endorsing loadable debit cards. But I think you have to be wary of those too. Some companies like to prey on people with less than stellar credit, etc and I figure there has to be fees/catches in there somewhere.

I pay off my credit cards on time and in full and I never have problems.
