I've heard that eating honey local to your area might help.  Only thing, you have to eat a bit everyday for a period of time to see the results.  Lots of vitamin C and drinking those 8 glasses of water every day I have found helps a little.

My choice for over the counter (OTC) allergy medication was Allerest, but that brand appears to have been discontinued or is just really hard to find as no one in my area carries it anymore.  I started using Sudafed PE a couple years ago because it uses the same active ingredients that Allerest has/had.

I tried Clarion, and that did nothing for my allergies.  I use Benedryl, but mostly for asthmatic attacks or bee stings (as I'm allergic to them too) - not for every day allergy symptoms due to pollen.

If you don't know, I'd suggest picking one - choose the smallest packet they offer.  You should know pretty quickly whether or not the medication will work for you or not.  If not, before choosing another brand, check the active ingredients of the one that didn't work for you - then when you choose the next brand, make sure it doesn't use the same active ingredients.  Several brands share the same active ingredients - so if one doesn't work for you, probably a brand with the same ones (same relative proportions) won't work either.  May save time in the hunt.

I do benadryl at night and zertic in the morning. I do a nedi pot if I cant breath well after or vicks sinex nose spray. I started this after I got another sinus infection. I has been working well for me since then.

I have always used benadryl or claritin. I usually use the benadryl when I go to bed, though!

Good suggestions all.  I have been under the weather for a week and a half and been trying several different products to help to no avail.  Lately I have been trying Dayquil.

I have been taking singulair and it works great.  One pill a day is all you need and takes care of all allergies.

I take benedryl or zyrtec.But everyone has something different.Good luck.

Benedryl seems to work the best for me,  but it makes me too drowsy to use during the day,  so a night-time solution only.

Zyrtec is good.
As mentioned, the natural medicine is  local honey.
