Do you ever get tired of people complaining all the time ... for minor things like "I hate seeing misspelled words". Lol am I complaining about complaining people.

Indeed, it's somewhat hypocritical to complain about complaining although it might be more subtle to complain that people may not be complaining enough, (silent/tacit acceptance). It's still complaining about complaining however, in an alternate direction.

so get over it.

LOL, all this is starting to sound like a tongue twister... LOL :binkybaby:

Oddly, those who urge others to "get over it" are more often than not, the ones engaging in the very activities that are urging others to get over. To exaggerate the point; should those jewish people from the deathcamps have ceased complaining about nazis?

There is something you must understand: For some- English is their second language...so they are try to do their best. Misspellings is no big deal as long as you understand what they are trying to say. Complaining people...the world is full of them...avoid them!

I am 9 months pregnant and having end of pregnancy pains-so I complain a bit (mainly to myself or my unborn baby), so I guess I am tolerant of complaining.  :D
.           Pain is a whole different type of complaint, I'd probably would be saying couple of things myself if I had someone sitting in me lol

It is aggravating when someone has to nit-pick about a misspelled word. Especially when you can tell it was most likely a simple typing error or a common misspelling. That being said it also aggravates me when people purposely or out of pure laziness misspell words. I also hate when people use 'text speech.'

I don't like text talk either, but do you know it's bad for your health to allow yourself to get aggravated, especially by others.
Control your communication (talk less to people who aggravate you), and yourself in terms of being aggravated (show leniency for your own sake)
after all your response is yours.

I agree! How gives a hoot. There are some many other things to worry about. If you're an English teacher or professor, then I would understand. But ppl get really extra with it. People make errors, get over it and put that energy into something else.

I work with a woman who "complains" about everything and everyone. She's loves to gossip and has started a few rumors of her own. It drives my crazy. I ignore her most of the time. It's hard cause she doesn't shut up. 8 hours a day non stop gabbing.  :sad1:

I think many times it's a habit.  I try to make it a point to not complain unless the person I'm talking to can help the situation.  My mother has always been a chronic complainer and sometimes I'm afraid to say a word!

I dont believe in chronic, petty, complaints.  If you dont like something, you are fortunate enough to live in a free country, just move on to something or someone you do like.  I live my life by this wise quote,  "I wept because I had no shoes until I saw a man who had no feet"  That reminds me that there is always someone, somewhere worse off than I am, who really has something to complain about!

sometimes we comment on here so quick, when it comes to mind, that we just don't bother to check for spelling.  but on my essay's and research papers in class, i try to be as accurate as possible.  on here, it shouldn't matter, we're here to have fun
