Are you cheap?

I feel like I am pretty cheap when it comes to myself!!! I never really buy clothes I have soo many maybe not what i like but i just cant spend my money on myself, if its for friends or family i wont think twice and get them even if its not a gift occasion just for the heck of it but I cant for myself its weird anyways are you cheap?

Extremely when it comes to myself but I hardly think twice if its for my kids or my grandchild strange how that is huh?

Interesting that many of us are not cheap with other people, but are with ourselves. I, too, am generous with others, but will deny myself. Not really a good trait. I do have friends that are cheap and I find it extremely unattractive. It is probably one of the things that encourages me to be generous and seeing what selfishness looks like in others. Yes I just thought of this lately i dont think twice to get something for others my mom, friend, sister, classmate, teacher I am pretty generous actually but with myself I cant even buy myself socks!!! lol I mean i have a ton of clothes i dont think my room can hold anything else but thats clothes my parents bought me gifts but i rarely buy anything for myself and if I do it got to be cheap with a coupon or i am hesitant but im not that way with others i just wondered if others were the same?

maybe frugal is a better word then cheap so yes i'm frugal if i ever get extra money i'd rather save it and not spend it

I find lately with prices going up and my income not, that I am much more frugal then last year. I only buy what I really need and try not to go overboard at the grocery store. I am more generous with my time in helping others thou because I feel good when I can help others in the same boat as me get by and be happier each day.

There is cheap and then there is thrifty. I consider myself very thrifty because I make every penny squeal as the old saying goes.

vmcutshall is right. i like to think of myself as thrifty!
i hate buying the essentials, like soap/socks/shampoo.
i do skimp on myself, but on the contrary i like to spend
on things i don't need.

i get clothes when i need them and i buy clothes to resell. sometimes i buy for other people. i buy for them for christmas and their birthdays.

I am learning to do more for myself. I like to save and use coupons.

I do watch my money with myself (look for discounts, cut or print coupons, purchase last year's models, etc.), but have no qualms spending on people I care about within reason of course. Despite the economy my spending habits during holidays and birthdays never did change.

Yes, I think I am pretty cheap. I buy most everything second hand at garage sales. I regret being cheap sometimes. Then usually something will break down and there goes all my savings.

  I don't think that I am cheap just because I wait untill I see the exact thing I want, but my family jokes that I am cheap!!

I don't like to use the word cheap ... I prefer to think of myself as "Thrifty" or "Spend Conscious"
