What type of flowers do you have where you live? We have hibiscus down here in Florida.....bottle brush trees......some lavender flowers too.

I live in the flatlands of Colorado which is an arid, desert climate with intensely, unforgiving sun exposure.  Besides what is brought in from outside of the state the natural flowers are somewhat limited. A few wild flowers, columbines, and the occasional blooming cactus.  People will fill their yards with plants, that can handle the sun better, like marigolds, geraniums and petunias but these don't add as much fragrance to the air.  I deliver flowers on holidays and love the smell of a car full of roses, lilies and chrysanthemums...but enjoy seeing the look of happiness on people's faces as they receive these beautiful flowers and know that someone remembers and cares about them.

I have a few rose bushes and even though they are hard to upkeep, i still like them.  I like morning glorys too but do not have them at this time.

The lilac bush in our front yard is in full bloom.  Puts out quite a strong scent.
