Gas Prices Where You Are??
« on: March 16, 2012, 09:12:20 pm »
Hey all,
I was just wondering what the gas prices are where you are at. I am not asking anyone to give out personal information, and if they do not feel comfortable that is fine. You can say just a general area, or state, and if you live in a city, suburban area, etc.

The worst I have seen here was a .20 jump over night. I drove by the gas station on sunday, and it was still $3.24, and the monday when I was driving by the same gas station to work, it was $3.44. This is crazy. I have to commute 20 miles each way to get to work, and drive a SUV (I have had for about 7 years, and can't afford a new car). I only get about 14 mpg, so it is rough to drive 40 miles altogether for work. Soon it will be cheaper for me to stay at home!!!

Anyways here is the most recent for me:
Colorado, Medium-Sized City, $3.55 average (though I have seen $3.68)

Maybe someone reading this has cheaper gas, and it makes their day, lol.

Northwestern, IN (LaPorte and Porter Counties)

Gas ranges from $4.15-$4.20 here for unleaded (cheapest kind).

It was $3.89-$3.99 most places about two days ago but went up.

The highest here is $4.00 and lowest is $3.96. This sucks, can't afford to go on drives just for fun any more. Sure do miss the old days/

It is about $3.55 in Pawleys Island South Carolina on the coast.  About 8 miles up the road and 10 miles down the road it is always about .10 a gallon cheaper.  Go figure.  How can it be .10 higher consistently in one little area.  Hmmmm. Maybe price fixing.  The truth is that the majority of the wealth in the county is in our little area, therefore, they think they can sock it to us.   Those of us who aren't rich just drive up or down the road to buy ours.

I am in west central Ohio.  I checked this morning (Sat) and 6 miles east of here it is $3.56 and 6 miles north of here it is $3.92.  In the very small rural town I live in it is $3.87.  I just don;t understand how the prices can be so different in such a small area.  I live on a very limited income (disability income) and it is very hard for me to find the funds to even put gas in my car.  I usually only run in $10 or $20 a month and I have to make that last.  So needless to say, I don't go anywhere very much at all.  Sure do miss those days where $15.00 would fill up your tank.
