While reading and replying to posts lately, (such as this one), I've observed that the "adbot" posts follow the last posted message.  One followed yours however, I doubt that you are adding these ads.  Instead, it looks like an automated function of a "bot" that posts "ads".

The AdBot is not a person!  It's FusionCash's doing.  You'll notice a lot of random ads have popped up in the forums as of late.  I think they're just trying to be cute by pretending "AdBot" is a forum user.  The more ads blend in, the more likely people are to click them (except me, who ignores them all regardless).

I don't like this new idea of advertising. I don't think it has a place in the forum. This whole site (FC) is advertising, I would like to have the forum ad-free.

Obviously FC is making money on it, or they wouldn't allow it in these posts.  I do agree, however, that discussions should be ad free.  Like most others, I just ignore it.  At least this site doesn't have all the anoying pop-ups that other sites do.

It's a way for FC to make money, and we make money. I don't see any harm in it at all.

I didn't even notice him until he was pointed out. I guess whatever it is I really do not have an issue with it...and if it keeps fusioncash giving us better deals, I'm for it!

I think like everything else, things will change.  I think that you just have to just overlook them.  I also think that if it is a way for FC to make some money that is great because that means the site will continue to be here for other to use.  I also think that you have to figure that you are going to get ads in the anything that you do online today.

It's asking a lot, you know: we already pay 10c per post in the forum, and you want them to have no ads at all?  We've gotta offset those costs somehow...

Admin - I'm with you on this one. The more adds the better if you can continue to pay the forum bonus. This is a great site you have set up.

I side with the Admin on this issue, they pay each user that qualifys $3.00 month X maybe THOUSANDS of members and they ask for very little in return, except to follow the rules and now to see the ADBOT, in my opinion it is a small price to pay for a quality site such as FC............trust me, there are a lot more WORSE site out there.

The adbot is much like a TV ad; advertisers pay the 'station', (FC), to 'sponsor' their 'programming', (the site, in general).  It's capitalism at work and, as Admin mentioned, helps to defray the costs of running FC.
