I think it is fine to wear a sports bra in summer when working out or jogging. It is more based on if you feel comfortable enough to wear one in public.

I've gotta agree with dodgers16... looking at your profile pic, I'm definitely FOR you wearing a sports bra and running down the street.  (If you do, please send me a pic!)... :-)

LOL

would you think it was innapropriate?  with the hot summer months approaching, I am wondering if this is okay or if it is frowned upon?!!

I think it's perfectly fine!

I would say that you should probably put more emphasis on who you're running with.  If it's a whole pack, no problem.  If you're alone, I would say you're better off finding another form of exercise regardless of apparel.

I think it depends on what you are comfortable in.  also in what area you are running.  Like if there is a chance you will be going into a store for a water or something, go for tank top. But if you are just doing block round houses, then a sports bra is fine.

I don't think it'd be a bad thing. I probably wouldn't think anything about it. But you should probably aim for a little bit more support considering gravity and whatnot. Just for the sake of aging later on.

If you feel comfortable and look decent, why not.

I think it's fine to go out to exercise with a sports bra.  I don't think anyone would judge you for wearing one, and if they do, who cares.  If you're comfortable with it, go for it!

I don't think running in a sports bra is much of a problem.  I regularly see girls doing it both around the neighborhood and at the gym.

Most sports bras conceal cleavage rather than flaunt it, so I don't think they're indecent.  If guys can run with their shirts off, you can run in your sports bra!!

That would probably be less 'provocative' than women jogging in just a t-shirt & shorts, (sans any bra).
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

oh my gosh I know, and I've been running at night because that's the most convenient when my kids are sleeping and I asked my fiance to wait up for me, and he thinks I'm being ridiculous because I'm 21...but I always have the attitude of , "don't think it can't happen to you" and feel I'm smart for being cautious!

Look at all of the stars responding to your message!  I think that there is nothing wrong with running down the street in a sports bra.  I even think that there are some men, that I have seen running, that could stand to wear a sports bra!  We moved to a more rural area of Colorado about twenty years ago and my wife, after working out in a sports bra, went to the local grocery store.  It was hillarious!  You would have thought that this month's issue of Sports Illustrated Swimwear addition had just come in!  All of the guys stopped to stare and all of the wives had to push their husbands forward!

I don't think it violates common decency or anything like that, so if you're comfortable, go for it.  Most people probably wouldn't even notice in this day and age.
