Very nice tribute above.  I was very sad to hear of his passing also today.  He was such an idol of mine and my sister's when we were very young.  I was listening to Sirius 60's today when I heard the news.  Just seems too soon.  I pulled over to text my sister at work and she was in the process of calling me.  When Sirius starting playing Daydream Believer I got goosebumps.  He was just totally part of so many little girls lives as the person we all wanted to marry.

Very sad to know he is gone.

So devastating. :( I grew up watching Monkees reruns and waking up to this news yesterday was pretty unnerving. My Mom is really sad, too. Just a shame.

The Monkees became famous right after The Beatles hit the US. In 1967 The Monkees sold more albums then The Beatles and
Rolling Stones combined! RIP Davy....

I was so sad to hear that.  Davy Jones was one of my favorites.  He will certainly be missed.  He was too young to die.

I can remember watching "The Monkees" TV show when I was young.  Davey was always my favorite!

He was my favorite from the Monkees. I remember singing the theme from the TV show all the time when I was a kid.

There was a Saturday morning show that they had.
 We used to watch it.
It was stiff competition between the Beatles and the Monkees.
