Does anyone get annoyed with words that are spelled incorrectly?

Yes, everyone will sometimes have a typing error and it does not bother me. I do not want to judge people.

It does not bother me to read misspelled words.  But spell checker does help, lol.

Absolutely!  I am amazed to see how many people who have "graduated" high school and still are unable to correctly spell every word within a sentence. . . especially the word usage of words like, to and too, or, there and their.  Often people interchange these words without realizing they are not using these words within the correct context usage.  Whew.

Sometimes it is annoying when words are spelled incorrectly, but we are not in school and being graded on our spelling.  Just wondering why so many people think this is like texting and use many of the words used while texting.  Too many gadgets in our communication cause people to lose sight of what is proper etiquette for the type of communication they are using.  Rock On Spell Check!!!!! LOL

To me, it's not so much spelling. It is not using forms of to, too, there, their, and they're correctly. Although, I have caught myself using them wrong before. I was more involved with what I was communicating. But I don't think that you have to be so brutal about it. Some people aren't good spellers. However, it doesn't mean that they are lazy or uneducated. A lot of people that have hard time spelling are great at Math! Every one has their own personal opinions, talents, and culture. Something like grammar having an affect on input is ridiculous.

I don't get upset about missed spelled words. A lot of people do this, I just over look them. There's a lot of other things to get upset about then this!

It used to annoy me a lot, but I've learned to get over it.  I'm horrible at math, so I just try to understand that everyone has different skills.

I thought I was the only one that could identify a word not correctly written.  You know most of us only read the first and last letter of most words, so the most terribly written word you should be able to read.  I think the cell phones and the emails are really messing up our language.

In a forum posting, spelling words incorrectly doesn't bother nearly as much as using less for fewer, there for their, your for you're, etc.

I've been seeing friends updates on facebook and them spelling "you", "yu" and this really irritates me for some reason. I mispell things sometimes but I feel this is unnessisary

It only bothers me when others spend their time complaining and correcting someone else because of their spelling instead of addressing the subject in the thread.  Iff'n you don't like the way I talk, then skedaddle down the dirt road to one of my neighbors on another part of the mountain... maybe in the next holler.

I hate that, and punctuation and stuff, like, I even text with proper grammar and whatnot.
