If you order pizza for home delivery, how much do you tip the delivery person?

For prompt delivery of a hot pizza; 20%.  For slow delivery of a cold pizza; nothing.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

My order is usually around $18-$20 and I usually give them $3-$4.  Don't know what they expect, but that amount seems fair to me.  Especially since the store is about 2 miles away.

It definitely depends on how much my order is, how far they drove and if they added a delivery convenience fee. I know they say it is not a delivery tip but they're adding it for a reason!

Depends.  The place by my house isn't that far so I normally give like 10-15%.  However, when I'm at my job, it's a bit more of a drive so I'll give them closer to 20%.  Another place I used to go to would charge an extra 2 dollars to have it delivered.  I always wondered if the delivery person got that or if it was to help cover gas so, on occasion, I'd give them an extra dollar just so I make sure they get something.

We don't order home delivery. It is not available where we live.

I usually just tip $1 regardless of how much the bill the is.  That was the norm for a tip that I would get when I was delivering pizzas.

I don't think the drivers get any of the fee.  The Dominos site says that they don't.  I think it probably just helps the store pay the driver's salary.  I know that they used to get paid mileage and a salary plus tips.

We've nearly given up on pizza delivery.  There is a $2.50 pizza delivery fee already.  It is rare that we order for delivery anymore...most of the time we choose the carryout option.  If we go get it we're spending less in gas.  I don't know why but we're usually out of soda the same night we order pizza.  In the end we end up picking up a soda from wal-greens or a dollar store en route to get our pizza.  Sometime we even squeeze a redbox trip in.  This makes me realize how close we are to the end of our relaxing weekend.

I tend to tip the pizza delivery driver 15%  However, I have been known to tip 20% if delivery time is short, and my pizza is still hot,or at least warm when delivered. I will not tip if service is slow or arrives cold.

For me it depends on good service, hot pizza, what the fees are that are already being charged, and whether the driver gets a portion of those fees. If tips are a  portion of the drivers salary and service/food are good then I tip 20%. If there are any problems with the order and I have to call for a re-delivery of anything, however, I do not tip again. All of the above information regarding fees, etc. is easy to get over the phone when the order is placed if I'm just trying a pizza place for the first time. I like to do business with places that not only have good, hot food delivery, but also treat their employees well. So I will often make my choice between two good places based on whether one has better policies around paying their drivers.

Perhaps I don't tip enough but I usually tip a couple of dollars for every delivery regardless of the amount.  I prob should tip like I would in a restaurant though.
