what do you think about the whitney funeral

i know she was a big star but the funeral shouldn't be broadcasted on tv it should be private for her family and friends

As a long time fan of Whitney I think it is unfair for the family not to broadcast her funeral as one final farewell to the people that made her a star.  Without fans (like me) there would have been no Whitney.  At least Michael Jackson's family understood that which is why his funeral was televised.

It's always sad when someone so talented throws it away.  It's even sadder when the media makes such a big deal out of the funeral.  We had a local weatherman who committed suicide and they went on for a solid week about all the good things he did without a mention of his little daughter that he left without a father.

I thought it was gorgeous. Kevin Costner's words were absolutely beautiful and the very end where the pallbearers carrying her casket out to "I Will Always Love You" made me pretty much sob.

I am kinda hurt by the fact that she was a druggie and committed suicide and is still put on a pedistal. What about our Military heros that are not druggies and have not committed suicude when are they put on a pedistal.
