Disagreeing with some unsupported opinions isn't picking a fight per se, (because if it is, every time some fundie disagrees with something, they're "picking a fight" too, right?).  My dissenting opinions and refutations are mainly restricted to the D+D and Off-topic subforums however, when religious proponents drag their religious beliefs into other threads, I'll occasionally venture dissent there too.

Characterizing challenging blind faith as "bashing people" is a passive-aggressive dodge.  Something should be done about that and that's why I oppose such dodges with dissenting reason.

Choosing to "ignore" Falcon9 is not a reaction to the fact that he's a Christian basher.(Trust me,there are still a dozen or so still around the forum that I haven't put on Ignore--yet. ) It's because he comes across as a troll.Baiting an argument,and not leaving it alone.

I get on here, (mainly D+D and Off-Topic subforums), to present a dissenting point of view which challenges the cherished blind faith of believers.  Many such believers cannot withstand such challenges and try counter-attacking the challenger instead of the points being challenged.  This is known as ad hominem and you're engaging in it now.

I don't know about that.  What do you expect a devout Christian should be like?  People often seem to picture some pacifistic punching bag or something, but that is seldom the case.  Christians are subject to the same temptations and short comings as any other human being and you shouldn't be surprised to see such traits in Christians.  I see some childish behavior in this thread that is less than desirable, but I think you see whatever it is you want to see amplified by your dislike or perhaps even your expectations.  I have seen much better Christians than me that were prone to fights and short tempered, and I have seen much worse ones that were as docile and timid as a butterfly (of course that is subjective to my opinions I suppose).  Not much else to really say, except don't be surprised to see people acting like people.

I agree...I do too.  I know some "non-believers" that are better "christians" than some "christians" that I know...that's kind of pathetic!
