I prepare paperwork in Dec & as soon as all the needed items come in mail or email, I send the package out to be processed. Not in a hurry for refund/bill to IRS, however, I don't like to put off things in case I forget.

Yes and woo hoo I am getting some money back.  Perfectly timed to use as part of a down-payment on a house I am purchasing.

I don't have to pay taxes, because I don't work.  My parents usually do their taxes early.  I don't know if they've started them yet.  Have you done your taxes?

I did them on 2/1. Filed my federal online and am expecting a small refund. I am holding on to my State because I owe them a small amount. Once I get my Federal I can make a check out to state. It is pretty much a push this year. I retired in 2010 and this is the first year I don't have any Income except for retirement. I guess I did a pretty good job on figuring what I will owe because I didn't get much of a refund and don't owe much to state.

Not yet.  People are lucky they are getting a refund.  I guess it means getting a nice refund now or getting a bit more in each of your paychecks.

Mine are done, next year i'm going to try and have the paper work ready in Dec. or better yet do it at the end of the month.

Yes we did our taxes.  We got a lil check coming for federal and we owe for state.  The middle-class get taxed hard

I did my federal, using one of the online free services, but I haven't done my state taxes, since that was not free, and I'm not going to spend 28.00 for a 24.00 refund. So I have to go pick up some forms at the library and do the state taxes manually.
