Just out of curiosity...
« on: February 08, 2012, 12:23:57 pm »
Why is it that if we sign on from a different computer we get kicked off? that's what my friend told me at least...

I started doing this stuff on my computer at home, but now with school starting again, i'm there a lot and i would love to do it from my laptop, but i'm afraid of losing my account :/

I am not sure if differing IP addresses will get your account in trouble or not.  I know same IP being used by two accounts will, but since most IP address change periodically I am not positive about your situation.

I've seen other questions similar to yours under the Support forum, and most of the answers is to contact Fusion Cash Support and explain your situation.  Sounds like they are very good and understanding about people that move (for college or just to a new city/house, etc).  That's what I would recommend.

As per the terms of service, you must use your own personal computer/IP address..........

Users must not create more than one account per person, nor may they create more than one account per household. A "household" is defined as a single dwelling (including basements, attics, extensions, etc). Should a user be a member of more than one household, he/she must be the only FusionCash user in each of those households.

Users must not create more than one account per computer or internet connection.

Users must log in and use FusionCash on their own personal computer and internet connection only. The use of a FusionCash account on a public or shared computer, or public internet connection is grounds for disqualification. You may not access your FusionCash account on the same computer or internet connection as your referrer, referral, or any other FusionCash user. Violation of this term may be considered grounds for disqualification of any and all users involved.

Users must not use a proxy or otherwise attempt to mask or reroute their connection.

I understand the rules that have been laid out regarding this, but it kinda stinks because there are times when I'm at school waiting for my husband to get out of class and I like to use the computer and before they made this rule, I would go onto Fusion Cash and take my surveys. I'm a little disappointed, as I can no longer do this. I haven't even tried because I'm worried I'll lose my account or something. I could understand the whole thing about having mulitiple accounts per user, that's just not right. But if my husband wanted an account, he can't have one either, because of the whole "one account per household" rule. That stinks too! But, the way I look at is that there are more pros than cons with Fusion Cash so I follow the rules and keep on cashin'!

@froggylover227....

This rule has always been in place. If you were to log in to FC from a public wi-fi, you could unknowingly be using the same IP address as another FC member, and then you could both get your accounts banned. The likelihood of it happening are probably slim, but there's no point in taking a chance.

You can however, access your home computer while away from home if you have a laptop using a free application called TeamViewer (thanks to oldbuddy for sharing this tip with me some time ago). You would just install it on both your laptop and home computer and you would have remote access to either one. I use it while I'm out of town and it works like a charm!
