cops don't shoot if they can get out of it.sometimes they have no other way to stop them.

Well that depends. Why are they shooting the person.

Cops shooting children is never appropraiet; however, parents must ensure that kids not do carry weapons, or toys that resemble weapons and popint them at police.

Please differentiate between children and young people.  Young people I consider 18, 20 years olds.  Children I consider 10 years old.  I seriously doubt a cop would beat up a 10 year old.  I can see them beating up an 18 year old if it is justified.

A  lot of times, those "children" doesn't leave the cops any other choice.  Why do the children think they can win when they raise a weapon and point it at a cop without reprecussions?

So you basically contradict your first sentence with your second sentence.

If you think about it, cops shoot at people that use to be children all the time.

I think that the police have a tough job.  I am near Los Angeles and they have kids point guns at the police often and are put in a tough position.  It depends on the situation.

I find that our society is getting scarier.  Drugs, mental disorders, and the appearance of no-common sense had truly messed with our younger generation---and our police forces.  Personally, I believe, overall, the police do not kill or shot unless necessary.  And they are taught to shot in the purpose to kill...it's truly a last option and usually a choice of defense not as a punishment to the person in question.
Moreover, it always depends on the details.  A child that has a gun is just as dangerous--if not more--than an adult.  The child might not even realize what the consquences of shooting gun are.  But it would kill just the same.

It depends on why they were shot.  If a person comes after a cop- no matter what their age- the police have a duty to protect themselves and others from harm. It makes me mad when I hear someone say that the police should don't have shot and kllled someone coming after them with a knife. Sorry, they are taught to shoot to kill, not shoot in the foot to "TRY" and stop them. Law encorcement is a tough job and society has changed, becoming more violent and with less respect for authority.
