So...there's been a lot of talk about the Chrysler commercial at the end of half time of the Super Bowl....thoughts on it? Was it political??

Had no idea it was a Chrysler commerical while I was watching it.  I thought it was something Detorit put out to promote their industries.  Getting ready to hear what Rush said about it on Greta.

No I do not think it was any more political than any other american auto commercial of the last 10 years.   I do find it a bit ironic that even most of the "American made" cars are made outside the borders of the United States.  Just another example of the funny world we live in.

I really like the video "It's Halftime In America." Clint Eastwood did a good job. It was not political at all. The media as always are blowing it all out of proportion. People are really hurting right now trying to make ends meet. Trying to get a job. The only reason the unemployment numbers are going down is because the numbers don't count the people that have exhausted their unemployment benefits. Some people have givin up on looking for a job. On my local news station (KSBW) they did a interview with him about the controversial commercial and Clint Eastwood said that he did not earn a dime for making that commercial and any money that he earned he gave it all to charity. The views Clint Eastwood expressed were all his own. Way to go Clint Eastwood.      Make my Chevy!!

Considering that Fiat will eventually own about 51% of Chrysler it will no longer be an American Company and it seems odd to me for them to talk about "halftime in America".
There are only 10 types of people in the world:  those who understand binary, and those who don't.

I had no idea the ad was for Chrysler when it was first aired.  I think they know they would get a reaction from the ad, whether it was really a political ad or not, it has gotten their ad talked about.

If Karl Rove doesn't like it, you know it's good.  Thanks Clint!
