so i havent checked this post in a while and now I remember why .close mindedness annoys me

You may consider averting your eyes from the threads where some other xtians are spouting-off too then.  Or not; it's up to you.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

I think everyone should be allowed to make their choice of who they want to be with or marry.  No one has a right to judge anyone.  There is no rule or anything that says who is right and who is wrong.  Some day we all will be judged by higher up til than leave everyone to make their choice in life and marry who they want.  Gays and lesbians are not hurting anyone.

Honestly I think love is love that's all I don't wanna judge anyone on anything in there life cause the felling of being judged is the worst, my dad always told me to worry about me,and not care about anyone else when it apply's to things like that not saying it's bad not to care just like, 'stay in your business and not others all the time'

I say call it something different and let them have it.  Maybe it could be called GARRIAGE, instead.

Then if things don't work out....

They can experience a divorce, too.

Have a great day!

Would such a "garriage" be federally-recognised, (because there's already statuates concerning "civil unions" in place in several states).

'Anyone of age, (same or opposite sex), can already get hitched in a civil union.  There are, however a number of differences between marriage and civil unions in that they are not recognized by the federal government, do not gain any of the tax breaks that married couples get, (such as the ability to file their taxes jointly). In all, there are over 1,000 benefits and protections afforded to married couples by the federal government that civil unions do not get.'

I do not agree with gay marriage. I do not agree with the gay lifestyle. I am against it. Every urge someone has does not have to be indulged that is my view. I live a heterosexual lifestyle and I love it. The choice to me was a fact of birth. I accepted God's authority that sent me into this world as a female. I however feel that based on the legal rights  given to all Americans and the fact that I don't have to agree with their lifestyle and the fact that homosexual people serve in the military and die for this country, they deserve to share the same rights as anyone else in this country. That's part of what being free in America is all about. If they do not recieve all the rights of Americans they should sue the Federal Government because they pay taxes to support a country that forces them to pay taxes but denies them human rights. Let the supreme court deal with it. If they interpet correctly they will receive the right. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness. Has anyone ever just came out and called this what it is, well I will. It's discrimination, gender bias, oppression some among the group may even experience this as torture. We may hate the lifestyle,we may have various considerations and feelings about it but frankly(and this is just my view) it's none of our business because we are not being attacked and abused for being heterosexual. We need to be careful about denying people their rights if we don't want to lose ours. Should we deny them any level of decency in this society?  :dontknow:

@lorettahknox  I like what you said.  I am glad that there are those out there that feel this way, even if they don't agree with the homosexual lifestyle.  I am a lesbian and feel most of the time what you have said.  Thank you for the support you have given, even if you don't agree with us.

I don't support it, but who am I to judge.  Gay people will be judge before God and answer to their sins, just like you and I.  I don't support it, but.........

I don't support it, but who am I to judge.

By posting your 'opinion' on the subject, you are judging it.

Gay people will be judge before God and answer to their sins, just like you and I.

That is your judgemental religious belief and since there's no evidence pertaining to its accuracy, it's a specious belief.

I don't support it, but.........

"But", you'll go ahead and make hypocritical judgemental remarks about it anyway?

I think everyone has a right to there opinion on this and it upsets me when anyone gets upset over someone having an oposing view.  I changed my opinion on this someone recently and there is only one reason.  I am ok with it just because of the insurance benefits and stuff like that.

I have a lot of gay friends and I just want to see them happy. Letting them get married isn't going to hurt anyone or change anything. People just don't want to accept it like people don't accept a lot of things that they don't like. If it doesn't hurt or harm you then let it be and let people be happy and go about their lives  :peace:
