Regular mattress, sleep number or waterbed?
« on: January 24, 2012, 08:58:51 am »
Which do you have, and do you like it?

I have a sleep number bed and have never really liked it since I got it (a few years ago).  I have never slept on a waterbed, and am not sure I want to do so.  I feel I would not like the sensation of waves or the water.  I would also worry about it springing a leak.

I have a regular mattress, but I thought about looking into a sleep number, but a friend of my has a tempurpedic mattress and said he likes it.

Regular.  I've slept on all three.  I like a firm mattress.  I really can't tell a difference with a sleep number.  The waterbed wasn't enough support for me after a few years my back would hurt if I laid there too long.

I've always used a regular mattress. I don't think that I would like a water bed cause I'd be constantly moving around.

My parents had a waterbed and I got to sleep in it a couple times when I was babysitting (when they did an overnight trip - and I was in high school).  I didn't particularly like it as my butt would sink to the bottom of the bed.  I like to sleep on my side and that was very difficult in a waterbed.

I've never slept on a sleep number bed.  I tend to like firm mattresses, so I'm not sure if that would be firm enough to my liking.  Also, I wasn't sure what the longevity of the mattress was compared with a regular one, or how much energy consumption it would need to maintain the "number" setting.

So far I'm still a regular mattress type person.  But I'm planning on shopping for a new mattress in the next year or two, so who knows if I'll switch.   :dontknow:

I have had a waterbed and a regular mattress. Currently using the regular mattress.  My brother has a Tempur-Pedic bed and I have yet to lay on it. I have not tried a sleep number bed yet, wonder what my number is   ???

I have always had a regular mattress and I like it. The sleep number sounds like a good bed, but I have never owned a water bed...it looks uncomfortable to sleep on.

I have always had a regular bed, thought about getting a sleep number, but have heard that its not much of a difference.  I've tried water beds before but I couldn't get comfortable enough w the motion of the water.

I sleep on a regular mattress.  I slept on a waterbed when I was in my twenty's but as I got older it caused me back pain.  I would like to get a sleep number but I have to get a job first!

I would like to get a Number bed but kinda expensive right now.  I am saving up for one.  I had back surgery about 4 years ago and I think it will really help me.
