I had pets for years, but when i moved back here to chicago, I let my ex in laws have my dog because she liked to dart out the door when you werent looking and i knew she wouldnt last up here.
I use to swear that my house was a magnet that said hey if your lost come here, and only animals could see. One week time once we had a collie show up, 3 beagles one two times, and a mutt lol. one halloween heard a cat meowing opened the door thinking one of ours got out, and here walks in a strey cat i never saw before, never left lol, was the best cat i ever had.
i think at the peak, we had 3 dogs, 5 cats, 5 lab rats, hamster, rabbit and a parakeet. I keep trying to talk my boyfriend into getting a dog, because our apartment building owner allows pets but he hasnt wanted to yet. last year 2 of his dogs, when they were in the back yard someone let them out, and we never found them. city pound never picked them up either. we had the back yard totally inclosed with a fence and gate, the gate we had padlock through the hole so the dogs couldnt push it open and get out so yes we know someone did it we just never knew who.
