Laptop!!!!!!!

Does anyone know where I can get a laptop that don't cost me an arm and a leg. I don't have much moneybut it would be so easy to use one instead of a table top.

     Go to Walmart. Look at the ads because sometimes they have good sales on laptops. If you are going to carry your laptop around, buy a note book laptop (like ACER brand name) because regular laptops are very heavy.

If your looking for a simple laptop, without dvd/cd drive notebooks are cheap and you can get them anywhere between 199 to 399, try best buy, cvs sometimes have them for sale too as low as 99. You can also check into places that sell refurbished laptops.

I dont recomend sonys because the power unit has a tendency of breaking off from repeat use, I had a tech support person actually asked me if I use it as my main computer because they arent ment to be used alot. My last sony which cost 1500 had it break, they replaced it with a new one, the new one broke this time it shorted out the mother board, they refused to honor the warranty that time. Its a fire hazard.

I do recomend toshibas, because one you can get them at reasonable prices, 2 you dont need a back up disc to restore, when starting up the lap top if you need to restore it for any reason, click control alt the letter O and the start button at the same time, then keep clicking next, and your lap top will be restored back to brand new out of factory state.

Only draw back is, repeated use does cause keys to become loose and unlike a desk top where you can order a keyboard online or practically any walmart kmart etc, you have to take your lap top in to be fixed, same thing with monitor. I had my dog sit down on my notebook when it was closed and the screan broke once.

Great information, I do have to stay there are much cheaper Laptops that are online also! You just have to do a bit of research and you can get all you want. Remember Google is your friend.

Amazon.com sells used or refurbished Laptops that are cheap! You can also try ebay.com! Your can check with your local *bleep* shops, that sell used computers! Some places that repair computers will often have some used Laptop and desk top computers for sell, that they have repaired!

Problem with used laptops is your buying someone elses problems, or putting more money in to add memory etc, because as things get better they take up more memory.  good thing about toshibas is, like i instructed control alt letter O and start at the same time, and it takes away any glitches or viruses the laptop may have lol.

I found out the control alt letter O start function, because a update microsoft had made my laptop not work properly and i called toshibas tech support and thats what they had me do. Unfortunately it only restores what originally came on laptop when you purchased it, anything else added by you later wont be.

When I'm sitting in front of the TV at night, I use an Acer $300 NetBook that I installed Linux on to do my brainless surfing and click ads for credits. It works great. I ordered a thumbdrive with Google ChromeOS from Ebay to use, but it hasn't come yet.

i use to have a acer, got  it from a *bleep* shop, was a good computer, cant remember what happen with it. been online 12 yrs now so hard to say. I have had emachine which i called emacrapolachine i swear it was possessed, acer, sony, and toshiba. a good site for those looking to finance a computer is www.eyecom.com
It was a spam email i got 10 yrs ago and I said what the heck i needed to get rid of the emachine, best purchase i ever made, tech support you talk to the same person each time.

my desk top had a glitch, i had someone i worked with rerun a microsoft program, he returns it to me and said how old is this computer, I said i dont know about 2 yrs old, he goes your kidding me it has parts in it stores are just now getting, that was eyecom.com

Walmart has some good sales on laptops as do amazon.com, you just have to do your research and you will come up with some good results on cheaper laptops. You will be happy with what you find. I would recommend HP, Acer, and Asus because they are really great laptop computers.

Walmart or Amazon if you need new. Lots of places sell guaranteed used ones also (like PC repair places). I sold my old Dell for $50. It's only problem was a missing power cord, which is less than $50. It is just a 7 year old laptop and doesn't have a lot of the newer perks, so I just took what I could get quickly.
