Any ideas on how to avoid static electric shocks during winter?

I hate all the static electricity in the winter!!! :o :o :o

I hate it too CoolWifey! My husband tends to zapped the worst and it is usually getting in and out of our cars.
Well moisturized skin helps prevent shocks. There is a product you can buy I think it is called Static Guard that you can spray on things that  have static electricity. Also using fabric softener when washing clothes helps. Dryer sheets can be rubbed on to the offending items like car seats or clothes as well.  There are a lot more things you can do but this is what came to mind.
