Lame NOW?  I never did see what the attraction was with so many to FaceBook.  I've had friends & relatives talk me into joining and a few hours later, I had regrets so I closed the account.  Then a co-worker or someone would talk me into re-joining and I would only to have regrets a little later and re-close the account.  It just seems like a big waste of time, I'm not interested in everyone's business, I don't care for the games and I really don't like the fact that if you wish to avoid someone...that they can contact you in a few seconds through FaceBook, it's easier for me to just close the account than drop someone that becomes really annoying as a "facebook friend".  I don't care for FaceBook.  I've tried to use it strictly for business and it never worked out...maybe sometime in the future but it's not that great right now...

It is only as lame as what you use it for. If you 'friend' all these people you do not know, it does become a nuisance. I only use it to keep up with people I know in the REAL WORLD.

I've always thought it was lame that's why it took me a while to get an account and even when I did I used a fake name.  I have two accounts but I only really use it for advertising.

Facebook was awesome until it started changing. Now I'm stuck with that stupid Timeline feature, but I know everyone is going to have it at some point! I just made myself a Twitter account because I realized that was ten times better than FB. It's quick and easy to use.

I don't think it is lame if you use it to keep in touch with people. Sure it can be annoying if you let it be, but just use it for your personal needs, whatever they are. I definitely do not like all the changes or the timeline layout, but I never like change so that's probably a biased answer. I just know I wouldn't be as close to my friends from high school and college if it wasn't for facebook.

I agree with handllucas....use it for the purpose of connecting to friends and family. I think there are people on FB that want to "Friend" as many people as possible (maybe a status symbol?) even if they have no idea who the other person is. Just decline friend requests to people you do not know or games you do not want to play.

I agree, I live across the country from my family, and facebook does put them all together in a place where we can exchange pics and chat. But other than that, companies have found a new way to get your info to sell to telemarketers, IMO Facebook has become another "big business" playing the "watch the right hand and don't pay attention to what the left hand is doing" game. OMFG I am starting to sound like a conspiracy nut. :angry7:

It's lame to spend 20 hours a day feeding fake animals, talking to fake people, and paying money to play these so called games.

I use Facebook to connect to people I don't see often, old High school friends for example, but some people take it to the extreme with all that gaming.
