When do you take down your Christmas decorations?

Since most people are not working today, I imagine a lot of you are taking them down today.  I don't have many out, and tend to leave them out for another week or so.

If I don't put them up, I don't have to take them down, and I didn't put any up this year.

Just took them down today. It was quite sad actually The holidays are my favorite time of the year.

My Christmas celebrations aren't over yet.  I'm half Ukrainian so I honor my ancestry by celebrating Little Chirstmas.  It goes from sundown on January 6th until sundown January 7th.  I cook up traditional foods and work on genealogy.   

The house always looks so naked after I take down the decorations, even if I don't put many up.

I normally take down my decoration the second week of  January.  I don't have much to do this year.

Normally we put them up the weekend after Thanksgiving and take them down the weekend after New Years.

This year was just so hectic with my eye operations, drs. appts and getting the house painted the decorations just
did not happen.

Last year the lights stayed out on the lawn into February ... they were buried under the snow ... LOL

This year it was the day after Christmas but we have left them up for a week or so.

Around January 15th.  I like to let the tree shine it on a little longer, but not too long

Generaly speaking we take most of our Christmas decorations down the week after New Years.

We usually start taking them down on New Year's day.  It's usually an all day project, and try to get them done in the one day.  This year, my wife also had the 2nd off, so we were more casual in doing it.  Once the new year arrives, I feel the holidays are over and it's time to start fresh.  It's a little sad when they come down, though, as the decorations do tend to bring a much more festive, cheery atmosphere in the house.

I take down my Christmas decorations before the New Year.  I cannot come into the New Year with last year Christmas decorations.  Some people leave their up forever and that was 2011 Christmas so it must come down.

We usually take ours down right after Christmas. This year I couldn't wait to take them down because of all the clutter in the house with the kids new toys! I love Christmas, but sometimes I just want my house back too!
