I am a little concerned that someone will more readily believe in aliens than a god.To each their own I suppose

Bravo.  Unfortunately, the lack of substantive evidence for their specious religious beliefs does not deter the believers.  This provides circumstantial evidence of them being berift of critical thinking and resorting to 'blind faith.'  This wouldn't be much of a concern were it not for the potential, (and actuality), of irrational religious influence over the lives of others who eschew it.

There is no more substantial proof than aliens exist than there is that God does. I'm just saying that it's odd for someone to condemn those who believe in God but see no problem in believing in aliens. If you can provide definite proof that either does or does not exist I would love to see it. Until then let people have their beliefs and you can stick with yours.

I agree and never suggested otherwise.

I'm just saying that it's odd for someone to condemn those who believe in God but see no problem in believing in aliens.

That isn't accurate; any belief which lacks supporting evidence is dubious, (this includes beliefs in "gods", "aliens", "goddesses" or "invisible pink unicorns").

If you can provide definite proof that either does or does not exist I would love to see it.

There is no definitive proof, (substantive and unamibuous evidence), that any "god" or alien lifeform exists.  It is a logical fallacy to demand proof that something does not exist.  The default being that something does not exist, (whether 'believed in' or not), until such evidence of existence emerges.

Until then let people have their beliefs and you can stick with yours.

Anyone is free to hold any irrational beliefs they wish to hold; just as others are free to challenge those irrational beliefs when they are presented publically.  If others wish to hold their irrational beliefs internally, who would know and who would challenge them?
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.
