I would rather have a cat because they are sweet and adorable. I like dogs too for the same reason, but I think cats are easier because of the poo poo factor. I hope that soon we recognize how precious animals are and take responsibility for their care. :dog: :cat: :dog: :cat: :dog: :cat:

I am a dog person. Try as I might I have never warmed up to cats as they do tend to be independent. I must say my dog is independent but he does like to cuddle and it is nice to be greeted by him standing at the top of the stairs, wagging his tail. :dog:

Cats.  They are for less of a pain.  Cats are extremely low maintnence compared to a dog.  They don't stink, and you don't have to potty train them.  Meaning no go bathroom on floor.  For me there is no comparison.

:dog: We have both...dogs and cats. Love them all very much. However, cats are easier.  :cat:  :fish:

We've had both and cats are much easier but the last cat we had thought she was a dog.  She meowed when she needed to go out but would use the litter box if she didn't get out.  She was a lap cat and followed my husband every where he went, inside or out.  She was born outside and it took us a  couple of years to get her comfortable inside but she was such a sweet cat after that.  We miss her very much  :crybaby2:

I've always been a dog lover and grew up with dogs so dog for me  But cats are cute too though and definitely easier if you want to go somewhere.

A dog hands down. Cats are too aloof.

Definitely, a dog hands down. I don't like cats. Dogs are mans best friend. Plus, dogs go outside to go to the bathroom. Who wants to clean out a litter box?

I have two dogs and a cat.  Cleaning out a litterbox isn't difficult -- no worse than picking up doggie doo.  Where I live (an apartment complex), they supplies us with doo-doo bags and we're expected to pick up after our dogs.

Cats can be left alone for a day or two (with food and water, of course) -- dogs can't.  Dogs are noisy, cat's aren't.  Cats purr; dogs don't.  My cat fetches paper *bleep* the same way my dogs fetch their toys.  Dogs wags their tails; cats don't (that I know of).

Yeah, I love cats.  I also love dogs.  That's why I have both!    :peace:

I think I'm weird in that I prefer puppies and cats, versus dogs and kittens. Ahaha.

I'm a biased cat lover. I've always had cats and by default I prefer them, lol. I'd love to have a dog one of these days, though.

A dog definitely, I don't really like cats and I am much more of a dog person.  I actually keep having dreams where I own a little baby dog and it just makes me want one so much more.
