What was the longest vacation you ever took?

I have had a couple of two week vacations.... One was a VERY long drive out west- from OHIO to Oregon and back and the other was a vacation in Hawaii.  I would LOVE to be somewhere warm today!!

Just before I was going to start grad. school, I took a month-long road trip around NY state. I was actually born in NY, so I knew of many of the attractions to see, but some of them I was too young to enjoy back then (eg visiting the wineries in the finger lakes region). Thus when I went back to NY for grad. school, I had a month to kill before classes started and decided to more fully enjoy my home state.

I also went on a different, month-long road when I was in Boy Scouts. This was when I was still living in NY, and our troop went to the Philmont Scout Ranch in NM. Our troop had a refurbished school bus (outfitted with luggage racks above the seats, and a few seats flipped around with a table in between to make a "booth" for playing card games, etc.) that we drove out from NY all the way to NM. Along the way, we'd stop at various attractions (like the Football Hall of Fame and a Kansas City baseball game), and topped it off with a week-long hiking adventure at Philmont. One of the best vacations I've ever had!

I took about 25 days of leave (don't recall the exact number) while stationed in Puerto Rico. I spent those days in the Dominican Republic surfing and walking about the country. Definitely interesting and memorable times.

We usually take a two week vacation at a cabin at a lake in July.  In the winter we take a two week vacation in Florida - WDW and other parks.

Not sure if I would consider it an official vacation but when I moved from overseas back to the states I didn't work for 9 months because I didn't want to work.  I lived on savings during that time and went back to work when my savings were running low.

The longest vacation was to CA. and then to FL. In CA i attended my nephews wedding and then visited with my sister for six weeks then I was on a plane to Fl onto visit my other sister for several weeks I had to return home as my grandson and my oldest daughters birthdays were coming up so I was home for those 2 occasions I could have stayed longer 2 sunny states in the winter what fun it was

The longest vacation I have taken from work was this year. I went on Maternity leave from February 4 up until August 9. I spent 6 months with my baby and from those 6 months we spent 3 in Dominican Republic. It was the best rest I had from work since forever.

I remember when in school we had two week vacations.  Now grown and working myself, I cannot imagine being able to take two weeks off.  In some ways it would be very expensive.  In others, I think I would regret the time off.  Coming back to work is always 'interesting' after I've been gone.  Lots to fix and catch up on.

My longest vacation was at Baton Rouge, LA...only because the people I was with made it more boring than anything. But if you would like to go eat breakfast and spend over 6 dollars just for a sausage egg and cheese biscuit, hey that's the spot to get at Macdonalds.

Due to having accumulated many comp days plus my four weeks vacation I took off for two months - visited Hawaii for a couple weeks, then stopping in Vegas.

I took a cross country drive from California to NY, then NJ, then back to California to see family, etc.  It took about a month.  Camped in a tent both ways.  That was a long time ago.

We don't go on vacation very often, but the longest we ever took was 4 years ago.  We went to jacksonville, Fl.  for 9 days.  Had a wonderful time, but I was ready to come back home at day 5.  Plus the drive was soooo long.  From where we live to florida, its 14 hours.

In high school I went on a trip to Germany with my German class during the summer. I think it was close to two weeks long.

Two week vacation in the Keys, and it was great. I would have been happy staying there at least two more weeks.

8 days in Orlando, we a had a great time.  The only thing I did not like about the trip is that I was the only adult with eight kids.
