Real or Fake Christmas tree?
« on: December 20, 2011, 11:26:27 am »
I pefer fake trees.  Real trees require too much work plus the needles get all over the floor.

We have one of those rope light trres for our Christmas tree. Much easier to store as well.

I prefer a real tree! However, I use a fake one for practicality & frugality. You save tons of money over the years because with proper storage they last a very long time.  :peace:  :star:

My family always used an artificial.I think it's less of a hassle that way.

Living in Christmas tree country and seeing the damage done to the land, I would never buy a real tree again unless I intended to replant it.

Although the real tree looks BEAUTIFUL and smells devine I am not okay with killing the trees all for just the decoration and then off to the dump.  For that reason I have been using the same artificial tree for the past 4 years.  Saving a tree 1 year at a time.  Merry Christmas!!

Fake trees are much easier, but I just prefer the smell and the look of a real tree. I just leave the vacuum close by to get the needles when there gets to be too many.

Not to mention its saves  a lot of time and hassle. We have been favoring fake trees for a while at my house as well.

Fake.  So many advantages vs. a real tree.  I will never throw away and clean up after a real tree again.

I've had both. Last year I had a real tree and it pretty much bit the dust a few days before Christmas, branches drooping, dried out, and the needles all over the floor.  I had to go out and get another tree. What a hassle to take one down and redecorate another one. I think it's because I have a wood pellet stove in the livingroom and the heat was to much, but I don't know because we've had real trees in the past, so that doesn't really make sense....maybe it was just a bad tree. Well, this year we have an artificial one, which is so realistic looking. Happy not to have to worry about it, or whether it will make it thru the holidays....lol. I never want to go thru that again!
