watching documentarys and reading articles in newspapers and magazines, i've learned that the more a per son uses their brain, such as reading, thinking, and playing games like jeopardy and trivia games, the probability of them getting dementia or alzheimers is reduced by about 60%...so i guess if you dont use it you will lose it

Yep, It's true if you don't use it, you lose it. That can apply to many many things. Take art for example in my case. I was doing great drawings a couple years ago. Now I will have to start all over with practice to get as good as I was. All the computer classes I took, well, I got sick and had to drop out of school. I would have to take all those classes over again to remember anything.

It really depends.... They say, you never forget how to ride a bicycle. It has been years since I have been on a bicycle, but I am confident I can still ride a bicycle.

However, at one point, I was fairly fluent in Spanish, and now that I need it again and after several years of not speaking Spanish, I find I need to start at the beginning again with it.

in most cases...yes. If you have a 6 pk and you don't exercise with it, it turns into fat. yep, would have love to learn one thing and use it again at will.

Some things- you don't use muscle ,you lose strength and tone, you must practice at anything that you want to stay good at, You don't show affection-you are liable to lose the one you love.

I believe if you don't use your mind, and your limbs, etc. you will lose the ability to sensibly figure things out, and you will lose muscle to support your limbs.
