I use to get 50% back on gas til some one stolid 500,000 dollars from the filler up club and they went out of businesses.now i hat to have to full up it cost a round 50 dollars or more a weak.that a lot when you are living on s.s.

We probably spend about $130 to $150 a month on gas. Depending on the price, seems to go up and down weekly!

The short answer is too much.  I spend about $500 a month on gas as I work about 60 miles each way from my job.  However, I'm trying to change that and looking to buy a house about 10 miles from work.  Not only will I save but some sanity as well.

With gas prices as they are, I guess I'm fortunate. I'm a retired Deputy Sheriff who now works inside my home for a world renowed company. I use my car to run errands only. I spend about $40-50 a month. When I travel we use my boyfriends car.

I spend about 30-40 per week, about 120-150 per month. I have a Ford escape, which is 4 cylinder, so it gets fairly decent gas mileage for an SUV. I drive about 16 miles each way to work every day. I try to only do shopping on my way to or from work, and I don't usually go out on the weekends, to save gas money.

mine is around 420 a month, we drive about 100 miles a day between my daughter going to collegge and my husband working and then just general running around, its really quite sickening how much we spend a month.

I limit my driving to about 25 miles per day. Being retired I don't do much traveling and have 2 vehicles. I normally use my Toyota to do any longer driving, which I fill about twice a month and I have a old truck which I only use for short trips, dump runs, which I fill up about once a month, so I guess I go through about $125 in gas a month. Normally $65 a month for truck and $60 a month for Toyota. I get about avg 25mpg on toyota and about 14mpg on truck.

I spend way to much on gas, the nearest walmart is about 40 minutes from my house, so that give you an idea of how far out I must live not to have a walmart around.  LOL...

If you are talking strictly about the gas that I put in my car it comes to about Three dollars and five cents per gallon, fifteen gallon tank, every six days(Thank God for a twenty nine miles to the gallon) so about two hundred and five dollars per month.  I drop seven dollars and fifty cents per month on gas for my grill and my gas fireplace/water heater average about elleven dollars per month and I don't think that I am paying very/too much for gas.
