How can you have turkey without cranberry sauce.  It should be against the law or something.  I love the stuff.

I don't really care for any type of cranberry sauce, but my best friend loves the canned stuff. Which is somewhat surprising, considering she's a great cook and usually goes for foods made from scratch rather than canned stuff. My mom, on the other (third?) hand, actually makes a cranberry sauce from scratch. She crushes whole cranberries, and adds orange peel (along with some other ingredients). The rest of our family (including the extended family) raves about this and usually likes it better than the canned jelly.

I love cranberry sauce.  Never heard anybody mash it up.  I just cut it up in slices.
